Leaving Yosemite Valley always makes me sad
We saw some beautiful sights leaving the valley. One last view of Half Dome, Glacier Point, North Dome, Yosemite Falls, Cathedral Rocks, El Capitan, and more.
Train back to Seattle
Got to Sacramento at midnight and transferred to the Coast Starlight at 1pm. We are having gourmet oatmeal and Amtrak coffee for breakfast. Amtrak definitely needs to contract with Starbucks

Bob's early morning hikes
Bob got up early every day and did some strenuous hikes- Little Yosemite to Clouds Rest, elevation 10,000. This morning he did 23 miles from Camp Curry to Clouds Rest- 23 miles.
Back at Camp Curry today
We are staying at Camp Curry today. Last night I went to the 7pm show like we did as kids! Brought back memories
Back to the Valley via the Mist Trail
Best time of all was hiking from Little Yosemite down to Nevada Falls and then the Mist Trail from Vernal Falls. I did this as a child with my Mother and Dad and sisters. It is gorgeous!
Sightings of "Stale Noynine" and "Fresh Peggy" - named by my Dad after my sisters many years ago - you had to be there!!

Half Dome
The hike up Half Dome from Little Yosemite is vertical, very strenuous and lots of rock climbing at the end
After hiking Half Dome
While in Little Yosemite
We did day hikes to Moraine Dome, Half Dome and Nevada Falls
Our home for five days equiped with table and chairs, tent and food locker to keep the food away from the bears.

To Glacier Point
The morning of the 8th we left for Glacier Point where our backpacking trip would begin. Bob hiked the four mile trail from the valley (valley elevation 4000 ft. Glacier Point 8000 ft) Since I am not into torture I took the tour bus! Some views from Glacier Point
